“A deep sense of love and belonging is an irreducible need of all people. We are biologically, cognitively, physically, and spiritually wired to love, to be loved, and to belong. When those needs are not met, we don't function as we were meant to. We break. We fall apart. We numb. We ache. We hurt others. We get sick.” – Brené Brown
I believe that you have valid reasons to feel and act the way you do, even if those reasons are not yet obvious or known.
I am particularly interested in the various relationships that impact your reality and the influence those relationships have on your daily experiences. These include, but are not limited to: the relationships you have with the other people in your life (your family, your boss, your friends, your partner, etc.); the relationship you may have to stress, anxiety, depression, oppression, and trauma; the relationship you have to food and your body; and most importantly, the relationship you have with yourself.
In my opinion, the therapeutic relationship is also very important and can, in and of itself, be healing. I strive to create a safe environment that invites authentic collaboration and is rooted in genuine care.
